ATTENTION WOMEN WOROLDWIDE: We are currently accepting monologues and short plays containing up to 3 characters, songs, dances, videos (or video ideas) about anything women; boobs included.

We want to hear your voice! Please send to: Project Coordinator Molly Livingstone
[email protected]. (Please put “submission” in subject line.)
Deadline: December 31, 2009

*You are invited to write in any language, but we will translate it into English.  Additionally, your pieces are subject to edit, but we will send you the final piece before you see it on stage (or youtube).

In light of Eve Ensler’s (author of The Vagina Monologues) recent, very public support for the "The Toronto Declaration: No Celebration of Occupation" (a letter expressing strong dismay at the Toronto Film Festival's decision to honor the 100th year anniversary of Tel Aviv), BaMatMaBat has deemed it vital to unite the women of the region, regardless of their political views, in a common struggle: celebration of womanhood and combating violence against women worldwide.  “Bourekas & Boobs” will be a Middle-Eastern creation in which all women of the region should feel comfortable participating.[i]

*performance date TBD.

[i] BaMatMaBat does not have any political view on the Mid-East conflict. We welcome any and all members of society onto our stage.
